Our modern home is in a village location 2 miles from the sea, with lovely views of the North Downs. We are 4 miles from the Channel Tunnel with easy access to France (35mins) and Ashford international station with Eurostar (train) to Paris or Brussels. London is now within easy reach with the new high speed train from Ashford to London which takes 37 minutes.There are many historical sites in the area: Canterbury, White Cliffs of Dover, Leeds Castle (said to be the loveliest castle in the world).
For those who like to walk/hike/cycle there is the North Downs/Pilgrims Way or the delightful Romney Marsh. Also close by are Port Lympne Wild Animal Park see web site totallywild.net/portlympne and Folkestone Racecourse. Nearby sandy beaches at St.Mary's Bay and Dymchurch.
We have a local pub in the village, post office and shop, many local pubs and restaurant's close by, we also have a Norman Church and Castle in the Village.
Our local town of Hythe www.hythe-tourism.com/ is very quaint and has the lovely Royal Military Canal running through it. The canal is 28 miles long and reaches to Rye - you can walk or cycle all the way!, there is also the Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway, Hythe is where the nearest large shops and Supermarkets are. There are beaches nearby at Hythe, also as you can see from one of our photos, the White Cliffs of Dover are not far away.
