We live in a 17th Century Merchants house, with many original features including oak beams and open fires, which we have carefully restored. The house is on 3 stories with views over the River Severn and the Cotswold hills.

We have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 reception rooms, dining room, study, country kitchen and full central heating. Our pretty garden is designed on 4 levels with a summerhouse and 2 separate eating areas.

Newnham is located on the banks of the River Severn. We have shops selling local crafts, antiques, Inns, village store and a delicatessen.

The Forest of Dean offers many outdoor activities.

We are ideally situated for touring the Cotswolds, Somerset, Stratford on Avon and Wales, all within about an hours drive, and the beaches of the West Country and South Wales can be reached in a little over 1½ hours. Celtic Manor the venue for the Rider Cup 2010 is 45minutes away!

Phil and Bev have been married for 40 years and have 2 grown up daughters. Phil is a retired Head Master and Bev is a part-time College Lecturer. Phil’s passion is golf and Bev’s is gardening.

We have a daughter living in Sydney, Australia and we like to visit her but also be free agents to “do our own thing!”

We have travelled extensively over the years and have done several houseswops which we have thoroughly enjoyed. We love our home and would treat yours as if it was our own.
