We live in a 17th Century Merchants house which we have carefully restored. There are many original features including oak beams and open fires. The house is on 3 stories with views over the River Severn and the Cotswold hills.

We have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 reception rooms, dining room, study, country kitchen and full central heating. Our pretty garden is designed on 4 levels with a summerhouse and 2 separate eating areas.

Newnham is located on the banks of the River Severn. We have local shops, a village store, chemist, newsagent, Post Office, local crafts, antiques, and not forgetting our local country pubs.

The Forest of Dean offers many activities.

We are ideally situated for touring the Cotswolds, Bath, Somerset, Stratford on Avon and Wales, all within about an hours drive. London is a 2 hour drive.

Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham airports about an hour away.

There are good links from Gloucester to access national rail and coach networks.

Phil and Bev have 2 grown up daughters and 4 grandchildren. Phil is a retired Head Master and Bev a retired College Lecturer. Phil enjoys playing golf and Bevs hobbies are gardening and the arts.

We have a daughter, son in law and grandson living in Sydney, Australia and we like to visit them but also be free agents to do our own thing!

We have travelled extensively over the years and have had many successful home exchanges which we have thoroughly enjoyed and made life long friends.
