Our home is situated on a canal with great water views. From the pontoon you can fish at your back door. 2 kayaks are available for use.

The house has 3 large bedrooms and study. 2 queen beds and 2 single beds. All bedrooms have TV&DVD players and ceiling fans, Air conditioners to 1 living area and 1 bedroom. Kitchen has dishwasher/m/wave/fridge.freezer and all expected items. There are 2 full bathrooms and 3 toilets. Internet connection available.

Island is linked to mainland by short bridge. 45min to Brisbane/Airport. 23K of white sand beach. Close to Sunshine coast & hinterland. 2 golf & 3 lawn bowl greens. Sports equip. avail. Good range of shops, restaurants, clubs etc. Bird life, walking/bike paths. Gold Coast/theme parks within 2hrs.

We are a retired and semi retired active couple. We both have worked for the Public Service (Gov.) We enjoy walking and exploring new places. The best time to visit is March to October. The weather is warm but without the high humidity. It is about 45mins to domestic and international airports where cheap fares are available to other major cities and good packages to Cairns/Great Barrier Reef although a 3hr drive will bring you to the start of the Reef with snorkeling and diving tours available. There are rain-forest walks within short driving distance and bush walks on the island. 2 other islands offer dolphin feeding/whale watching and wonderful bush walks. Craft and produce markets are held on the island. Local bus services on the island and to the train station which can take you into Brisbane where we have museums and art museums, botanic gardens and river cruises, casino and of course upmarket shops.

Our car will seat 5 people and is a Toyota Corolla automatic. Reliable and economical.

We are experienced travellers and can supply a reference from previous exchange. We are a responsible couple and would look after any property with the greatest of care. We have an exchange for 2010 but are now looking to an exchange in 2011. Scotland, N/England, Italy, Greece, France or anywhere in Europe would be given consideration.
