Lovely 4 Bed home in Sheffield, England

Our individually built, well equipped, detached house is seven years old and situated in Millhouses, a thriving, mainly Victorian, suburb of the South Yorkshire city of Sheffield. It is a light and airy house in a good size plot with quiet veranda patio and garden area at the rear. We have four bedrooms, one of which we use as a study.

Within three minutes walk there is a post office and a good range of shops, two pubs and two restaurants - one of which has been nationally acclaimed for its Italian food. Supermarkets are three minutes drive or 10 minutes walk.

Very close by there is Millhouses park, or you can walk a little further into Eccleshall Woods - over 150 acres of protected ancient woodland.

There are frequent buses for the 20 minutes journey into the city centre with all the amenities you would expect of UK's fourth largest city. Ten minutes drive or train in the other direction and you are in the Peak District National Park with its extensive network of footpaths, country inns and historical houses such as Chatsworth. Further a field the Yorkshire Coast, Yorkshire Dales and English Lakes are all within a two and a half hour drive.

We also have a holiday house, quietly situated in Hay on Wye,(HE21586), located amidst beautiful countryside in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Hay is a famous book town, with over 30 second hand bookshops in a population of only 1500. As well as literary pursuits, its environs offer valley and hill walking, canoeing and fishing on the river, interesting gardens, and a good range of golf courses and other leisure facilities. We are happy to include both houses in an exchange.
