The island of Sanday is one of Orkney's larger North isles. Famous for its beaches and unspoilt landscape (www.sanday.co.uk). Our home was newly built in 2004. We think it is spacious yet cosy and comfortable. It has a large kitchen/dining room, a sitting room, one double en-suite bedroom, one bedroom with two single cabin beds, one toy/play room with a double sofa bed and an office which has a single bed, bathroom, small utility room and garage. We have oil central heating throughout. Outdoors we have a large garden, decked area, patio area, two child bikes, two adult bikes and swing set.
Sanday has a 15m swimming pool, very well equipped playpark, adventure challenge course, traversing wall, 9 hole golf course, recently restored croft, heritage centre, island Ranger, two restaurants/pubs and three grocery shops. Travelling over to mainland Orkney is fairly easy - a 10 min hop on the plane or 1 hour 20 mins by boat (daily service). To give you a flavour of our island look at www.sandaysoulka.org

I am a Primary Teacher (so can only swap during term time), my husband is a Farmer (even more limited with holidays) and we have two daughters aged 6 and 7. We also have two small ponies and one larger version - but they require no attention ... unless you want to!
