Our comfortable fully modernised traditional Lakeland stone built property cottage is situated in a quiet residential area and ideally located for all the activities the Lake District offers.

Walk from the house and you can be in the villages of Windermere and Bowness with a wide variety of shops and restaurants.

WIth 3 bedrooms + sofabed and 2 bathrooms, you can sleep up to 8, it is regularly used by us, relatives and friends.

Alternatively you can walk to the top of Orrest Head or School Knott, both offer spectacular views over Windermere Lake and surrounding hills.

By car you can soon be at many of the varied attractions or walking, boating, horse riding etc.

We live in Yorkshire's "Last of the Summerwine countryside" and our house could also be exchanged.

Our family consists of Bob who is an accountant/Director, Margaret a solicitor and our 12 year old son Alex. We enjoy our holidays and to immerse ourselves in the different cultures where we visit. We take part in many activities including walking, water sports, skiing and racquet sports. We also like to chill out, the sun and eating out.

We'd like to exchange for short breaks in the UK/Europe (near airport links) and up to 2 weeks in school holiday times. We often travel with a school friend for Alex.

We like and are used to pets, so looking after them is not a problem.
