Our house is a 4 bed Victorian semi on the west side of Sheffield. The house has great views over Sheffield and Derbyshire, with raised decking in the back garden. It has 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 rooms can accommodate couples and the other rooms have bunkbeds and pull-out sofa and cot. We have refurbished most of the house, including the kitchen-diner and bathroom. There is a small conservation area next to the house which makes the house feel quite secluded.
The house is a short distance from the Peak District National Park, with the heritage attractions such as Chatsworth House and the caverns of Castleton. It is also fantastic for outdoor pursuits such as rockclimbing and hiking. Gullivers Kingdom theme park and the Heights of Abraham cable cars at Matlock is approx 30 mins drive.

We have good links to the city centre which is 10mins by bus or car. There are good local facilities and nearby are good local bars and restaurants. Sheffield is known as one of the greenest cities in Britain and has some fantastic parks and open spaces - there is a local park near our house which has some of the best views over the city.

I work as a housing manager and my partner Andy is a UNISON manager. We have two small boys – Dylan,4 and Zach,2 – who I am pleased to say are both well behaved. We love our home and look after it very well, and would extend this to any other home we stayed in. There is all the equipment and toys available that you accumulate from having children, and the house has cable tv and wireless broadband. Because we are not restricted by school terms, we would be happy to consider weekend or week breaks in the uk, and longer exchanges during early or late summer months. We have car exchange available and fantastic neighbours who would be willing to help should you need it. We also have an elderly cat who is very friendly [when he’s about] but he has a tendency to stay with the neighbours so would not tie you down in any way.
We would be interested in Barcelona as my brother is living here, but open to any suggestions!
