Detached house, dating from 1879. It has 11/2 acres of garden, mostly woods with 3 ponds, a large summerhouse and 100m of river frontage,(River Fowey).

Inside the house, the floors are wood, there is a wood-burning stove and a Rayburn for hot water and central heating. Large living room, dining kitchen, 3 bedrooms, bath/shower room, w.c. all on ground floor and office upstairs. Two of the bedrooms have double beds and the third has a double futon,but we have 2 single futon mats and 3 long couches at a pinch.

We are 3 miles from nearest shop and 5 miles from Liskeard for supermarkets,so a car is essential. Good base for walking and exploring, nearest coast about 10 miles. Beautiful surroundings, clean air, peace and comfort.

We are a retired 60's couple and because we live rurally, we would ideally like an exchange to be in/near a lively city. We have 2 well-behaved Westie dogs which we would like to bring with us because one is 16 and too old to leave. They don't shed and are not allowed on furniture. We are happy to look after your pets. We also have 1 cat and a few chickens,and would like our swapper to look after them, although our neighbour will deal with the chickens if need be.

Although children are very welcome and younger ones would like the chickens, small children would need to be well supervised because of ponds and river. But you can have bonfires, camping, picnics etc. We'd also be interested in long term swaps.
