Ingleton, Yorkshire England (HE24431)

Located in Ingleton, a pretty Yorkshire Dales village famous for its Waterfalls Walk, scenic walking, biking & caving. Detached house in quiet cul-de-sac backing onto the village cricket pitch/ playing field. Good local mountain biking.

In Yorkshire Dales but also close to Lake District (35 mins), Morecambe beach (40 min) & Settle to Carlisle railway (15 mins). Loads of different things to do locally. See www.ingletoncottages.co.uk (NB this is a separate house, not part of the swap) for fuller details of the local area.

Our house has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 largish one with a single cabin bed, but we have a spare single mattress to put on the floor, so it can sleep 2. Also, sofa bed in lounge for flexibility.

We are a party of 3 (or, very rarely, 4 if an extra adult - one of our mums). Jenny, a medical software developer, Lee, a potter & teacher and Jed a well-behaved 8 year old. We would love to visit somewhere that is not more than about a 3 hour drive away. We are limited to a 1 week stay (Saturdays to Fridays due to work commitments) and school holidays only. Anywhere with good mountain biking would appeal to Lee. Particularly keen on places like Shropshire, Derbyshire, Northumberland, Southern Scotland or North Wales.

Very enjoyable exchanges done in previously. Exchanges have arranged repeat visits to our house so must have enjoyed it. Exchanges now arranged for 2013 but happy to hear of any suggestions for 2014.
