Or swapping for 2 - 3 weeks in July 2013?

Our main bedroom has a double bed and we use the second bedroom as a study with a double sofa bed in it. A big living room with a terrace and two sofas, one of which also work as a single bed, and a kitchen and bathroom complete the picture. Downstairs in the courtyard is a shared garden with lawns, lots of plants and a children's play area and bike storage.

Our top floor apartment has a wonderful view from the terrace of the famous Boxhagner Platz, with its gorgeous farmers market on a Saturday and flea-market on a Sunday. During the week, it's a peaceful place to hang out with friends or children.

Friedrichshain is very central, bordering Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg and Kreuzberg; it is just in the old East and the 'East Side Gallery- a huge stretch of Berlin Wall art - runs alongside the river Spree, ten minutes walk from our apartment; it has excellent public transport links (near U / S bahns Frankfurter Tor, Warschauer Strasse and Ostkreuz); wonderful restaurants and bars and the Friedrichshain Volkspark, one of the best parks in Berlin.

Please note - the apartment is at the top of the house and there is no lift.
