Our home is a village house built into the 12th century ramparts constructed by the Knights Templar. It is full of character and charm, renovated in 2007 to modern standards. On three floors, it is airy and spacious, and has wonderful views of vineyards and mountains.
It is located in a charming village with a butcher, baker, grocer, newsagent, hairdresser, post office, cafe and restaurant. A paradise for walkers and rock climbers. Wine-tasting in Cairanne itself and nearby Vacqueras, Gigondas and Chateau Neuf du Pape. The Roman sites of Vaison la Romaine, Orange, Glanum and Avignon are within easy reach. Opera in Vaison and Orange during the summer when there are jazz and classical concerts non-stop in the Cairanne area.

Elizabeth is a retired international civil servant and Richard is a published author. Our house reflects our lifestyle which is comfortable but simple with an emphasis on outdoor activities, reading and music. There is WIFI throughout the house. We have lived in many countries, have travelled extensively and have enjoyed successful swaps. This is our second home and we can accommodate non-simultaneous exchanges. Our exchange requests for 2013 have now been met and we are looking for swaps in London and Paris in Spring or Autumn of 2014. Sorry but we cannot accommodate children under 10 years of age.
