We have a lovely villa that overlooks hills and valleys in the eastern Algarve near the historic and elegant town of Tavira. The Isle of Tavira beach is in the top ten Lonely Planet beaches and is just 6K away. The villa is 30 minutes from Faro airport and also 20 minutes from the border with Spain, which means we are 2.5 hours from Lisbon and 1.5 hours from Seville. The villa is on a hill surrounded by carob and olive trees and we grow our own vegetables. The villa has a modern kitchen and three bathrooms (one is a wet room). It also has a deck off the master bedroom that provides wonderful views. We have a private pool with bubble seating area. We are set in 1.5 acres of land with an electric gate. Its a quiet area perfect for painting, writing and relaxing, but also close enough to Tavira and the beaches.

We are a well traveled semi-retired couple who want to see more of the world. We love it here and have made the home and gardens comfortable for our lifestyle. We love growing vegetables and reading books. Sue writes and Blogs suehall.net and Jim plays tennis and sings. The vegetables are under irrigation so no work there. But it does mean you have access to freshly picked produce. We are interested in Latin America, Cambodia, but contact us anyway as we may be happy to exchange. We are currently looking for some time near Warwick or Coventry, for either July and/or August 2013. We had a fabulous swap last year for 2 weeks in Salvador, Brazil. We then went for another 4 works in Brazil.
