Our holiday home is 6 km from the blue ribbon beach of Kilkee, a Victorian seaside family resort. You can go whale / dolphin watching, deep sea fishing. There is a magnificent links golf course, Doonbeg lodge. It is in a countryside setting with spacious gardens and modern interior.

Alternatively we can exchange our permanent home which is also in a beautiful lakeside village of Mountshannon in East Clare, near Limerick and Galway.

We are a couple in our fifties, secondary teachers, Special Needs/French/English. We enjoy cities for the same reason city dwellers enjoy the country, as we live in a very picturesque lakeside village. We like art galleries, theatre, fashion, music.

We are non smokers but like nice wine. We have two adult children who do not travel with us. We like walking, and cinema and seeing some of the hidden aspects of other cultures. Our house is an ideal base to fish boat or swim or tour the west. We offer our home as well as our holiday home subject to availability in two of the most beautiful locations in Ireland with all the tourist facilities that you require. You can choose to stay in the area and leave the car in the driveway or travel to the neighbouring counties to savour their delights. As we are both teachers we are usually free for two weeks over Christmas and two weeks at Easter, a midterm in October and February for a week each and most of June, July and August.

Our home is 15 km from Killaloe, 30km from Limerick city and Ennis, 75 km to Galway. The area very popular tourist destination for French, German and British tourists who like water activities, relaxation and a chance to see the real Ireland in a relaxed way.
