Montreal is a large bilingual (French 80% - English 20%) urban area of 3.5 M population. It is an island nested in the St-Lawrence river not far from the US border. There are numerous museums, famous restaurants with international cuisine, boutiques for great shopping and summer festivals in Montreal, like the famous Jazz Festival, the Francofolies, the international firework contest, the Just for laugh festival, etc.

We are located close to major highways that go to the Laurentians(Mont-Tremblant is about one hour drive), the Eastern Townships (About one hour drive) Quebec City (About 2 and a half hour drive) Ottawa, the National Capital of Canada, (About one hour and a half drive), Boston (About 4 and a half hours drive, Toronto (About 5 hours drive), New-York City (about 6 hours drive).

Our house is located in a interesting neighborhood of the city with lots of trees and public gardens, tennis, pools, and even a golf course. Nearby you will find a nice commercial street with restaurants, terraces, fine groceries and all services. The subway station is only a 5 minutes walk. Old Montreal, Downtown, trendy "Le Plateau" area, Little Italy, Chinatown, are all located about 10 minutes by car.

Montreal est une metropole bilingue ( francais 80 % - anglais 20 %) C'est une ile nichee aux confins du majestueux Fleuve saint-Laurent, celebre pour sa vie culturelle (,le fameux Festival de Jazz, les Francofolies, le concours de feux d'artifices, le festival Juste pour rire, etc.) son shopping, et ses restaurants ou l'on sert une cuisine inventive et internationale. Nous sommes situes pres des routes majeures qui menent a la belle region des Laurentides (Le Mont-Tremblant est a environ une heure 30 de route,) aux Cantons de l'est (1 heure 30) la Ville du Quebec (Environ 2 heures 30 ) Ottawa, la Capitale nationale du Canada, ( environ une heure 30 ). Boston (environ 4h) et New York (environ 6 heures).

Notre maison est situee dans un quartier verdoyant calme et familial, ou se trouvent des jardins publics, tennis et piscine communautaires. Le repute Plateau Mont-Royal, le quartier chinois, la Petite Italie, le Vieux-Montreal, sont tous situes e 10 ou 15 minutes de voiture. Nous avons egalement le metro de Montreal a 5 minutes de marche.
