A rural retreat, for lovers of wine and culture, with beaches and Spain close at hand

We offer an interesting renovated house in a rural, sunny village. The house has a large double bedded apartment on the ground floor with its own kitchen and bathroom. Two further bedrooms and a work/office area are on the middle floor with two more bathrooms. The main living space is on the top floor - a large lounge/dinner with a beautiful sun terrace.
Bicycles are available
Please note this house is not suitable for children under 10.
The village has a range of shops (and by summer 2015, a small shopping complex) with several supermarkets a short drive away. Although there is a 1 euro bus into Perpignan you do need a car!

About the location

The village is near Perpignan, about 15 mins by car from sandy beaches and close to the Spanish border (20 mins). .
Situated on a wine route, with a chateau producer 250 yds from the house. There are lots of different wine producers quite close as well as just over the border in Emporda, Spain.
For culture you could choose from Ceret's Picasso museum, Dali's theatre museum(Figueres), Matisse's Collioure, Renee Mackintosh's Port Vendres, a local Roman remains, a prehistoric man - and more! We provide information on the breadth of musuems, historical sights, and cultural interests.
You can also walk on the coast, the plains or tackle a mountain - Canigou beckons!
