Lovely 3 Bed home in Le Mas-d'Agenais, France

3 bedroom house overlooking both the River Garonne and the Canal Lateral. Fabulous views from every room.

One bedroom has 4 single beds and the other two both have double beds. There is a spa pool in the garden and lots of sun loungers available. A large games room is set up in the attached barn with table tennis, table football and a substantial library. With WiFi internet access.

The house is in easy walking distance to the centre of the village with restaurant, bank, supermarket, bread shop etc. Have a walk round the village and see the old wash house (lavoir), Roman remains and the Rembrandt in the church. The village has its own large outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. There are a number of resturants within cycling distance (bikes of all sizes on site) and more with a short drive. Large supermarkets are 10 minutes away in Marmande. Bordeaux, Agen and Bergerac are within a one hour drive for more serious shopping and the seaside is about an hour away. Golf courses and horse riding within a short drive from the house (less than an hour). Wine tasting can easily be arranged.

The ecluse (canal lock gate) is next to the house so you can watch the boats go through. Both the canal and Garonne are great for fishing with equipment in the barn. Canoe hire is possible from the village if you fancy a trip down the canal or river. The village has its own forest and there are some great paths marked if you want to walk or cycle or of course you can cycle down the canal path (straight and flat - impossible to get lost). If your looking for an active holiday or a relaxing holiday its just the thing to soak up a bit of French country style. We love it and hope you do to.

Bordeaux is on the TGV train route to London and Paris with a link to Marmande you can travel all the way by train. Airports are within a one hour drive. Bergerac and Bordeaux are the nearest.
