Victorian terraced house - Cardiff

We live in a Victorian terraced house in a quiet street just off the local park ( a park which has a boating lake at its far end). The neighbours are friendly and quiet, as is the local area, yet you feel as if you are in the middle of a lively city. The house is light and airy with good spaces for socialising and relaxing and has been well-cared for. It is a family home and has a rustic and bohemian feel with wood and rugs and some antiques. There are good mattresses, a wood-burner in the dining room (with a table that seats 6), and in the large kitchen, a dishwasher and washing machine. The garden is small but there are pleasant fruit trees and spaces to sit and enjoy the sun. We have an independent and ageing black cat (and cat flap to outside) who stays downstairs and eats dried, not too smelly, cat food.

About the location

We are within walking distance of local food shops and good cafes, supermarkets etc. It is a twenty minute walk to the city centre where there are larger shops, concert halls, an excellent art gallery, a castle and an even larger park, from which you can walk to the country-side and a folly castle set in the hills. A short drive takes you to the coast or the hills and mountains. Wales is an area rich in history, with some stunning country-side and spectacular beaches.
