A warm, comfortable, modern family home with lots of living space, Downstairs there is a sitting room, spacious open plan kitchen with all mod cons and dining room, a play room, a utility room (washer and dryer), a toilet and garage full of bikes for your use. Upstairs there are four bedrooms and a bathroom (with shower and bath) plus an ensuite bathroom (with a shower). Children`s things available. There is room for two cars on the driveway and a sunny south-facing garden with a trampoline for kids and an outside table and chairs. At the end of the road (70 metres from our house) a footpath past the cricket pitch takes you out onto miles of countryside walks (over a brook). A five minute stroll gets you into the centre of Chudleigh, an ancient wool town with bags of old-world Devinshire character and four pubs (two also restaurants) and various shops. Chudleigh also has a lovely, well-attended thirteenth century church. In the summer the Chudleigh open air pool is open and there are community events and entertainments throughout June and July. In the garage are surfboards, bikes and a canoe for you to use.

About the location

Chudleigh is in South Devon, two minutes off the A38 road between Exeter (20 minutes away by car) and Plymouth (40 minutes away by car). Chudleigh itself is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside full of cows and sheep and has it`s own climbing crag and woods. There is riding and a state of the art leisure centre with pool, gym and classes 5 minutes away at Finlake leisure park. We are also twenty minutes away from the coast in one direction (Teignmouth, Dawlish) and the moor in the other direction (Haytor). Chudleigh is a warm and friendly community. If you wish to travel all around the South West, using our house as a base there are countless beaches within an hour`s drive (some of them secret!). Cornwall is and hour or so away by car and Bristol is an hour away by train. The Jurassic coast of Dorset is 40 minutes away. The historic cathedral city of Exeter is twenty minutes away by car and has theatre, arts, a vibrant museum, bars, cafes, restaurants, vintage shops etc. You can horse-ride, climb and canoe (on the River Dart) nearby. We feel lucky to live here. Friends have used our house for their holiday and had a lovely time.
