About the location

Cleveland is the principal town in the Redlands, named because of its red earth and prolific growing area of south east Queensland. It is more of a town, not a city, well serviced by bus, train and water taxis which take you to the islands of Moreton Bay including Stradbroke Island, the third biggest sand island in the world which has Moreton Island just four miles to the north, the second biggest sand island in the world, accessed from Brisbane by ferry.

It is the terminus for the Cleveland line from Brisbane with a link from Brisbane to the Airports. The area is well serviced by parks and resturants, shops and bike/walking paths for the active person as well as a harbour and marina which receives yachts from all over the world.

Cleveland was the setting for Johnny Depps "Pirates of the Caribbean" and we have Sirromet Winery which has an upmarket restaurant and which hosts "Day on the Green".

It is a migratory path for birds from all over the world and the bay is abundant with marine life including whales, dolphins, stingrays etc. Brisbane enjoys a tropical climate in opposite seasons to Europe. We are also serviced by a local Hospital and many doctor surgeries.

We are ideally located 40 mins north of Surfers Paradise with possibly some of the best beaches in the world and fun parks incorporating Movie World, Dream World, Wet and Wild and Sea World. Also 50 mins from Mount Tamborine, an iconic ancient mountain rain forest with quirky markets, cafes and vineyards. An hour to the north we have the Sunshine Coast, Glasshouse Mountains and Steve Irwins Australian Zoo, Underwater World an David Hart Gallery. Noosa, the boutique area of the Sunshine Coast, is 10mins further on.
