Beautiful views of Ilkley - Yorkshire

We live in a very spacious, Victorian maisonette in the beautiful small town, Ilkley. Ilkley is a great place to live as it is the gateway to The yorkshire Dales. There is a garden path down to the river Wharf and the Dalesway footpath which leads all the way up into the dales via Ilkey tennis club. It is 2 minutes walk to the local park and a lido(open air swimming pool) with stunning views of Ilkley moor.

Within 5 minute walk into the centre of Ilkley there are lots of boutique shops and restaurants. There is great walking and biking on the doorstep along with scrambling and climbing on the famous Cow and Calf rocks.

The property is a spacious victorian maisonette on two floors. There are three main bedrooms all with great views of the surrounding countryside and moors, along with the 4th bedroom currently used as a utility room.

The spacious kitchen diner offers a snug optimal living area with corner sofa and stunning views of the river. The living room has two sofas and two additional armchairs with a log burning stove and views of Ilkley Moor.

The entrance landing is large and has a very large window so it feels light and airy. The office is currently used as the Childers’s toy room and were very happy for your children to play with the toys. There are two bathrooms.. the downstairs one is large with a Victorian free-standing bath and shower in the bath and the upstairs bathroom has a shower cubicle and lower shower. There are toilets in both bathrooms.

There are lots of things to do and visit in the local area, we are happy to advise depending on what you are interested in, here are a few ideas:

Countryside
From the house there is walking to the famous Ilkley moor, cow and calf and bluebell woods.
Close by take a walk in the dales, our favourites are Bolton Abbey and walking along the river near Appletreewick and visit the Craven Arms, a great local pub.
Visit Kilnsey and try trout fishing or horse riding
Go to one of the local country village shows

Culture
A trip to Salts mill which was converted by David Hockney
Visit Harrogate Spa and the local shops and facilities
Leeds with hits Museums is 30 minutes by train
Bronte House in Haworth is a 30 minute drive
York is an hours drive with its historic Minster and centre

Family
Hesketh farm park is 15 minutes away along with Embsay railway
Billy bobs ice cream parlour is a fun place to go
