Holiday home with lovely sea views close to Oneroa Village on beautiful Waiheke Island

This is our family holiday house which is situated within steps of Blackpool Beach. It’s a very comfortable light and sunny 2 bedroom house with beautiful seaviews from the lounge and the bedrooms. Wrap around deck to sit and enjoy the beach scene on one side and the hills from the other. It is well equipped with everything you need. Spacious bathroom with a separate shower and bath. Separate toilet. Huge section for playing games. Our basement/garage is locked and not available for use but there is car parking in the driveway. The house is up a set of stairs so no good for mobility issues.
Walking distance to the main village of Oneroa and the beautiful Oneroa beach. Bus stop across the road to other parts of the island.

About the location

Our holiday house is located on the beautiful Waiheke Island, only 35 minutes ferry ride from downtown Auckland. Alternatively you can bring a car over on the car ferry.
The house is in a very quiet, peaceful spot overlooking Blackpool beach, but just a short walk to the busy main village of Oneroa with its cafes, restaurants, shops. We are walking distance to three beautiful beaches, Blackpool beach, Oneroa Beach and Little Oneroa Beach. The bus stop is nearby if you want to explore the rest of the island without a car or go to the ferry terminal. There are many world class wineries of which Waiheke is famous for. One of them, Mudbrick, has the most exquisite setting with beautiful sea views. There are winery tours that you can book. There is a small supermarket walking distance to Oneroa or the larger supermarket is at Ostend which you can drive or bus to.
The most popular well known beaches are Oneroa, Palm Beach and Onetangi but of course there are plenty more beautiful beaches which are just as good. The main village of Oneroa has a visitor centre where you can hire bikes if you wish. In summer, Oneroa Beach has canoe hire etc. There are many bush walks and bird life on the island. We get Pukekos, Tui, Kereru (wood pigeons), families of ducks visiting us on our property.
