Weavers cottage

My house is in the Staffordshire Moorlands. it was originally built in 1820 for a weaver and his family. It is near to the centre of the ancient market town of Leek in a conservation area which includes the whole street. There is an open plan ground floor, sitting, dining and kitchen. On the first floor there is a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower and bath On the second floor there is a large bedroom with a king sized bed. and also a small study with a single bed. The house has a small pretty garden with a pool and seated areas.

About the location

The house is near to the centre of the ancient market town of Leek in a conservation area which includes the whole street. It lies 4 miles from an entrance to the Peak District where there are many attractive villages and a stunningly beautiful landscape. Leek is only about 6 miles from Alton Towers and a similar distance to the spa town of Buxton which has a beautiful theatre and opera house, arts centre and cinema
The centre of Leek has many independent shops and antique centres , busy markets and good cafes and restaurants.
The city of Stoke on Trent is only ten miles away and has 3 excellent theatres, cinemas a museum and art gallery, and many ceramic heritage venues within the city and nearby including the Wedgwood Centre and museum. Within the city there is also the Emma Bridgewater Ceramic outlet, cafe and garden and The Gladstone Pottery Museum
