16 Century, Grade Two listed, Beautiful Detached House

Deynes House is a mix of ancient beams being at its heart a listed 16th century hall house. However its best described as being quite schizophrenic (!) since a Georgian extension means that half of it has rooms of elegant proportions and the rest is a maze of corridors with much lower ceilings.

Its been our family house for nearly 30 years and is much loved and well lived in. This is not a house which has been "done up". Rather it is a functioning homely quirky place that is in the most spectacular position in a rather lovely village.It has plenty of space, all the rooms are large and the garden is left to run riot with lots of room for games and peaceful relaxation.

About the location

Debden is a lovely village with pretty houses ,a fabulous traditional pub serving fantastic food as well as an Indian Nepalese restaurant/takeaway. It is very well located for the M11, trains into London and Cambridge ( which is 40 mins drive away if you prefer to drive). The coast is 90 minutes away at its closes point and there are too many things to do and see within the area to mention.
