Comfortable Victorian home
Ours is a much loved, recently refurbished Victorian terraced home with a large kitchen diner opening out onto a patio garden. Whether the sun is shining, or it`s pouring with rain, light floods into the house. One bedroom has an integrated shower and basin with separate WC. The house is particularly suitable for two middle aged couples - or a couple plus two singles. We are not available to anyone under 21.
Anyone travelling from mainland Europe to St. Pancras using the train will find it very easy to reach us. Just 30-40` by train with one change on same platform, then a 5` walk.
About the location
The famous Crystal Palace was re-erected in Sydenham and the area still harks back to its 19th century glory years with large villas and wide roads and clean air. Not only is Crystal Place Park nearby with its famous Dinosaurs Lake - but also Wells Park and Mayow Park. Quality eateries can be found on the High Street including an Italia trattoria considered among the best in London. There are good quality pubs and even a comedy club. Crystal Palace itself, only a mile and a half away has become a foodie destination in its own right. The house is equidistant from two London stations - a 5` and 7` walk - and then within 20` you can be in the City centre. There`s also easy access to Kent Coastal resorts and Brighton. Beautiful Dulwich Village is only 10` by car (but also quickly reached by train) where you can visit the famous Art Gallery while neighbouring Forest Hill is a must visit for the Horniman Museum and Gardens. If you play Croquet...well, just ask!
