Bearsden (6 miles from Glasgow City Centre)

Our home is a 4 bedroom semi-detached house in a quiet neighbourhood. There is a double bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there is a single bedroom, double room and the kids room with bunk beds. The garden is big and there is a trampoline and swings. We have bikes that you can use. There is good public transport with a train station and buses.

About the location

There are a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants locally within walking distance. You can get to the west highland way in the next town called Milngavie. There is also a country park called Mugdock and a reservoir you can walk round.

Further on from there you get to the Trossachs, In Balmaha you can walk up Connick hill.

Further afield is Helensburgh with the MacIntosh Hill house and Balloch country park which is next to Loch Lomond. Stirling is about an hours drive and Edinburgh is also about an hour.

In Glasgow there are museums and parks to visit, Kelvingrove Art gallery, Botanic gardens, transport museum and the Science centre. In the city centre there are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.

Ayrshire is our nearest coastal town. Ayr, Troon and Prestwick are worth a visit. We have a train station with good links to the city centre and beyond, with a direct train to Edinburgh. There are also nice walks nearby and good cycle paths.
