Lovely 3 bedroom rural home in Southland, New Zealand

Our home is a renovated church in a semi-rural location on a one acre section, ten minutes from the nearest town, Gore. The church is now our lovely, comfortable living room as well as kitchen and office. The addition includes two bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower, and double garage with shower/toilet and laundry. The upstairs loft has its own kitchenette as well as option of two single beds or a king bed, and opens to a sunny deck with lovely sunset views up the valley.

About the location

Southland is a lovely area of New Zealand, with rolling lush green hills and mountains in the distance. Our house is just a quarter mile from an aircraft museum, a fine restaurant, and the Croydon Aircraft Company which offers scenic flights in Gypsy Moth bi-planes. Our home is within two hours of spectacular Queenstown and Te Anau (Milford Sound). Also within a quarter mile is the Mataura River, famous for brown trout fishing, as well as two smaller excellent fishing streams. As part of the exchange, you may wish to stay part of the time while we are here, and I could share my fishing experiences with you, primarily dry fly fishing to spotted trout on small streams. The area also has a wide range of golf courses.
