In the Peak District National Park - a walker`s paradise. Situated in an attractive village with 2 pubs, 1 cafe and village shop all serving good food.

20 minutes from Chatsworth and Haddon Hall.

Great walking straight from the Cottage. The `Limestone Way`, a popular long distance footpath goes right past the cottage. Nearby market towns include Wirksworth, Matlock, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Buxton.

Live music at the Barley Mow pub most Saturday nights - 10 mins walk away.

Cycling is available on nearby High Peak Trail and Tissington Trail, both disused railway lines going through the picturesque `White Peak` area of Derbyshire. 2 miles to Cromford - part of the `Derwent Valley World Heritage Site` - the cradle of the Industrial Revolution with Arkwright`s Mills and canal.

For culture - Buxton Opera House is half an hour away. Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby and Manchester are approx. 1 hour away.
