The villa is located in the golden triangle between Pisa, Lucca and Florence, all within 1 hours drive. Enjoying the sunshine, the views and many great restaurants in the area is the favourite pastime. The swimming pool is set in terraces in the olive grove. All rooms feature traditional Tuscan chestnut wood beams and original stone walls. All are beautifully furnished with high quality pieces and some antiques.

About the location

The Meditarranean coast is well within 1 hour's drive including the lovely beaches at Viareggio. Pisa airport is 45km away, less than an hour's drive.

The local village of Vellano is a kilometre by winding road and 15 minutes on foot up the hillside paths. Because of the location, gentle breezes arrive during the day and at night, in the hot summer months. Vellano is also a well-known panoramic viewing point and is quite lively with restaurants, a bakery, grocery and post office. On the Vellano hillside you will find Chiesa di San Michele, a lovely welcoming 16th century church where several of our guests have chosen to renew their wedding vows.

Pescia is the local market town, 15 minutes drive and has supermarkets, retail, banks, superb restaurants and the usual facilities.

The wonderful walled City of Lucca is 45 minutes drive as is Florence and Pisa. In addition Pescia has an excellent railway station with fast train links to Rome, Venice etc.
