Regency Apartment, moments from the sea, great location - Brighton and Hove home swap
Our lovely one bedroom flat (with a sofa bed for an extra two in the lounge) is located on the beautiful Palmeira Square, just moments from the seafront in Hove. Our flat in on the basement level, with steps leading down to the communal hallway (shared with one other flat). Through the hallway our flat is the first door, which opens to a hallway with plenty of books to read, and hooks for coats. Our living room has a four seater sofa, an armchair, a rocking chair and a two seater sofa which pulls out to a double sofa bed. We also have a dining table and chairs for four in this space, located by the window, a hifi for music (to be kept to a reasonable level please) and a large TV with Freeview, Netflix and the IPlayer. We also have a few board games which you are welcome to use.
The bedroom is very spacious, and has a double bed and a rail for your clothes. There is also an exercise bike which you are free to use.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and toilet, and the water pressure is good.
The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans plates and glasses etc. The kitchen itself is in need of a bit of a refurb, but it does the job. Its best to open the window when you cook as the fire alarm is a bit sensitive.
We do not have an outside area, but Palmeira Square comprises of two rows of beautiful regency buildings enclosing a lovely landscaped green, as does the adjoining Adelaide Crescent. Hove Lawns are at the bottom of the square, and the seafront is just beyond the lawns. Paddle round the pier festival takes place on Hove Lawns, along with many other events throughout the summer, and the Pride parade starts from the Lawns too. You can see the sea from the front of the flat. There are an array of shops, restaurants and bars on Western Road and Church Road, all within 2 minutes walk. Brighton city centre is a 15 minute walk. Hove station is 15 minute’s walk, Brighton station is 25 minutes walk. St Ann’s Well Gardens is a lovely park, and is 8 minutes walk.
The area is great for being close to everything, yet quiet and off the busy streets.
Everything is easily within walking distance, but if you need to bring a car we can provide parking permits on request (at £4.50 per day).
