Converted stone chapel house in beautiful & wild. Snowdonia

Ty Capel Carmel is a detached, converted stone chapel house situated in a beautiful position high in the hills north east of the small but busy town of Dolgellau, with stunning panoramic views over the Arran and Cadair Idris mountain ranges.

It’s an old, historical house and, as such, has some charming quirks and unique features. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need for your holiday, but please don`t expect chrome and glass - this is no Travelodge!

Open-plan living space incorporates the original pulpit and woodburner, flatscreen TV, DVD player, mini hi-fi system, WiFi, payphone and books. From the living room, open wooden stairs lead up to a gallery double and single rooms (there are curtains that pull across completely), and through to the original `house` with private twin bedroom and a bathroom with a bath, hand shower attachment, WC and basin. Dining room and study are 3 steps down from the living area. The kitchen in the original part of the house includes dishwasher, integrated fridge and freezer, washing machine and a further dining table and chairs. Ground floor WC and basin. A lock-up shed is available for storing bikes.

There is a small walled sun-trap garden with garden furniture. To the front, the land is encircled by streams tumbling down to a waterfall. Great for paddling children and dogs! Excellent walking from the door and deer in the nearby forest. Enclosed parking for several cars.

This property has natural Welsh water from a private supply, tested regularly and passed as safe for drinking.
