Spacious apartment in vibrant Cologne quarter home swap

We have a spacious flat on the 3rd floor of a 1920`s block (no lift). The flat has 1 bedroom and one room with a sofa bed which we use as an office. There is a large eat-in kitchen, living room and one bathroom. Both the kitchen and living room have a balcony, which get sun most of the day. The balcomies overlook a large communal garden space.

Although we don`t own a car, (free) on-street parking is available.

About the location

Our flat is located in nice suburb of Cologne and has a number of restaurants, bars and pubs within 5 minutes walk. The nearest supermarket is only 5 minutes walk away and our local high street is 10 minutes walk.

Good transport links (tram & bus) are nearby and Cologne city centre and main railway station can be reached in 15 minutes. Bonn/Cologne airport is about 35 minutes by local train. For long-distance flights, Dusseldorf airport is 45 minutes by regional train.

Cologne is very well-placed for travelling to other European cities, eg 4.5 hours to London by Eurostar, as well as high-speed direct trains to Brussels (2 hours), Paris (4 hours), Amsterdam (3 hours), Bonn (20 minutes), Berlin (4.5 hours).

The picturesque middle Rhine valley (UNESCO World Heritage Site) as well as the Mosel valley can also be reached very easily by a very pleasant train ride.
