Mont Blanc view penthouse

The flat is on the two top floors of a 1930s historic building (there is a lift). It is designed to maximise the view and the sun, with wide windows in the large main room to take in the scenery, from the long stylish table and huge couch, with a stunning view onto Mont Blanc and an amazing vista of peaks (all the photos are taken from the flat). There is a south facing terrace. The entrance hall, sitting room and kitchen are on the first level and the 3 bedrooms (each with a double bed and in the case of one bedroom, an extra single bed) and bathroom are up a safe set of stairs.

The flat has just been totally renovated. It is tasteful, modern, well appointed and comfortable all year around.

Due to the configuration of the flat, it is NOT suitable for young children (under 10).

About the location

The flat is on the edge of the village of Plateau d`Assy, which has a fresh bread store, chemist, a small but well stocked supermarket, and several restaurants, all within walking distance. Large supermarkets and more shopping (lots of sporting stores!) are down in the valley 10 minutes away.

There is a small ski resort 4km up the road (Plaine Joux, great for kids and beginners) and several major ski resorts within a radius of 10 km (St Gervais les bains, Megève, les Houches) and famous ski runs 15km away (Chamonix, Argentiere..). All this skiing can be reached by a good bus service, as well as the little train between St Gervais and the Swiss border at Vallorcine.

Fantastic hiking all year around. Walks start right at the door to explore surrounding mountains, with beautiful views onto the Mont Blanc range, Italy and Switzerland. Chamonix and access to the main cable train/cable cars and glaciers are 20 minutes away.

Access by car: 10 minutes from the St Gervais-Megeve motorway exit.
Train: Sallanches station (direct tgv high speed train from Paris during summer and skiing season), 10 minutes away, with a good door-to-door bus service.
Air: One hour drive or shuttle ride from Geneva airport. There is also a train service (leman express) from Geneva airport.

There are 2 parking spots (one covered) and a large ski locker.
