Modern House on the edge of the Lake District

We have a modern, convenient three-bedroom house with a garden, patio and off-road parking, situated in the market town of Penrith on the edge of the Lake District, with excellent communications both by road and rail. We have two double bedrooms, one single and a bed settee in the sitting room. There is a family bathroom and an ensuite shower room to the main bedroom. Downstairs is a very generous living room, kitchen diner and utility room with downstairs toilet. We are on the edge of town, with access directly to the countryside, and only two miles from the Lake District national park.

About the location

Cumbria is justifiably famous for its mountains, rivers and of course the lakes of the Lake District, loved by walkers, mountain climbers, artists and those who want a slower pace of life in the most beautiful part of England. Cafes and restaurants abound, often serving delicious local produce. Locally, Penrith is ideally situated on the main railway line (direct to Manchester Airport, London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and most of the UK), and at the crossroads of the M6 motorway and the A66 trans-Pennine road. It offers supermarkets, a reasonable range of shops (especially for walkers), cinema and public transport. Further afield there is a nationally-renowned theatre in Keswick.
