Our bright and spacious Victorian terraced family home is two minutes from the beach and swimming pool/leisure centre, and two miles from central Brighton.

The large, sunny sitting room has a wood-burning stove and the kitchen/dining area has French windows leading out to the garden. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, a bathroom (with roll-top bath, shower and WC), a study or fourth bedroom, and a separate WC. We can offer a car-swap.

We have a cat who needs very little attention, except to be fed twice a day, a tortoise who strolls around the garden foraging for his own food, and lovely neighbours on standby so you're not tied down.

About the location

• Hove seafront and beach is 2 minutes walk
• Brighton town-centre is 15 minutes by bus or about 45 minutes walk along the seafront
• London Gatwick airport is 30 minutes by train or car
• London is one hour away by train, from either Hove or Brighton stations.

Local shops include an excellent fishmonger, butcher, baker and delicatessen plus post office, newsagent and chemist. Cafes, restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, independent shops are all close by.

There is a bus stop at the end of the road with regular buses into Hove (5 minutes) and Brighton (15 minutes) town centres, or choose instead to walk along the seafront (10 mins to Hove town centre, 45 mins to Brighton).
