Our home is an early '70s design open-plan house set in 2 acres of garden and woodland in a secluded edge-of-village setting but just off the main road to Bath. Our central location gives us easy access to Wells (England's smallest city with its wonderful medieval cathedral), Bath 16 miles (a world heritage site), Bristol 16 miles (an old maritime city), Salisbury 1 hour and Stonehenge ¾ hour. Other attractions close by include many fine old country houses and their gardens. The coast is around an hour's drive, London is under 2 hours by train, Bristol International Airport is within ¾ hour, etc

We live in a safe rural area within walking distance of the village and local pub. Nearest shops, a weekly market and supermarkets are in Shepton Mallet (3 miles). Wells provides better shopping, a twice weekly farmersmarket and restaurants. The surrounding area is full of good pubs for eating and drinking.

Golf, hiking, horse riding and caving in the Mendip Hills are readily available.
