Family house in Winchester

We live in a five bedroom detached house. A comfortable family home with large garden (above ground pool in summer) overlooking open fields.

About the location

Winchester is one of Englands most ancient and desirable small cities, attracting visitors from UK and abroad. Winchester was the historic capital of England, with the longest cathedral until St Peter's had a few feet added, the burial place of Jane Austen and the medieval Great Hall housing King Arthur's Round Table.

We're 5 mins drive/20 minutes walk from the City centre, with its excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and interesting architecture. There's easy access to London 1 hour away by train (station 10 mins walk) and the New Forest and sandy beaches half an hour by car. Our visitors have enjoyed Winchester's central position for seeing Stonehenge, Oxford, Brighton and Bath. Good motorway access, Heathrow and Gatwick airports about an hour. Southampton airport half an hour, Bournemouth 45mins.

Try us if you need to visit Southampton or Winchester University for a weekend.
