Our home is a renovated 1950's four-bedroom wooden bungalow, set in the quiet suburb of Mount Lofty. Toowoomba is a regional town of 100,000, approximately 120 km west of Brisbane. The South East corner of QLD offers a wide variety of attractions for those interested in sun virtually all year round - gorgeous beaches of the Gold Coast 2hrs away and the Sunshine Coast 3hrs away; cruises to the Great Barrier Reef, Fraser Island and whale watching within 4+ hours from Brisbane, hikes through national parks (such as the Bunya Mountains) and rainforests 1+ hr away, as well as sporting + cultural attractions.
Toowoomba itself is renowned as the "Garden City" and has an annual Flower Festival in September. Situated on the top of the Great Dividing Range, Toowoomba enjoys spectacular views of the Lockyer Valley and beyond.
