Our house is a stone barn conversion in beautiful countryside. There are beams in most rooms. Tall person will need to bend in a few places. Downstairs are 2 sitting/dining rooms and a large hall. Stairs quite steep. Both bathrooms - though small - have WC, bath and shower. Combi heating boiler - all rooms with radiators. Alarm system. Large garden with wildlife pond and meadow (hay in summer, sheep winter). Ample parking for cars and caravan. Minor road runs at back of house.

Richmond - 1 mile away or less if you walk - is one of the most picturesque small towns in England. Riding school 1/4 mile. Golf course. Yorkshire Dales National Park literally up the road. A1 Motorway reached in 15 minutes; Durham Teesside International Airport 40 minutes by car. York 50 miles south, Newcastle 50 north. Lake District 1 hour to the east - attractive north sea towns/villages(eg Whitby) 1 hour to west.
