On the outskirts of the pretty village of Great Bealings, in open countryside, we are about 3km from the centre of Woodbridge, a busy market town, with a long history (the Viking Ship at Sutton Hoo is nearby) and plenty of activities, such as sailing on the River Deben, golf at Seckford Hall and the coast just 20 minutes away. The world renowned Aldeburgh music and dance festivals run in June and August at Snape Maltings, and Aldeburgh itself is a traditional seaside resort, an ideal place for afternoon tea. London, Cambridge and Norwich are within easy reach for day trips.
