Lovely 4 Bed home in BRISTOL, ENGLAND

Victorian 4-bedroom house on 3 floors; in very good repair and tastefully decorated. Our side of town is very hilly and there's a great view across the whole city from the top floor. Lots of hot air balloons fly over us on summer evenings!

The house has a light, spacious feel to it and also has a very pleasant south-facing back garden which, though not particularly large, has two tabled seating areas and a pond with a fountain. In the summer it's virtually another room in the house. The house itself has, on the ground floor, a living room, a large kitchen/diner which backs onto the garden. On the first floor are three bedrooms (one with double bed and one kid's room with one bed plus a pull-out) and two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. On the top floor is an office and a large comfortable double bed.

The Neighborhood: We live in a friendly, quiet street where it's safe for our kids to play outside and where it's easy to chat with passing neighbours. Just 5 minutes walk away is a lively local shopping area which acts as a real focus for the local community. As well as having all the shops and services you'll need, it also has numerous cafes and pubs. There's even a swimming pool. in another direction a 5 minutes walk brings you to a very pleasant park with swings, paddling pool, etc. Within very easy distance is the local football ground (Bristol Rovers) and the Gloucestershire County cricket ground. The town centre of Bristol is just 10 minutes away. We've lived in Bristol for 9 years, having come from London, and think it's great! The centre is very lively, clean, modern and compact. You can walk to anything once you're in town - large shopping precinct, galleries, cinemas, waterside bars and cafes, brand new hi-tech facilities such as IMAX cinema, hands-on
science and natural history museums. There's also lots of antiquity - cathedrals, colleges, monuments, old harbour buildings, trad pubs, etc, all of which nestle around a complex of waterways which in the summer you can cruise by waterbus or just hang out by: the perfect location for leisure activities.

Looking elsewhere, the beauty of the city is that it's so easy
to get out of: in 10 minutes from our house you can be in the woods or fields. Within half an hour you can be by the sea, strolling round the Roman sights in the nearby city of Bath, entering south Wales, on the Somerset levels, approaching the Cotswold hills or whatever. We're perfectly placed as a touring centre as we're within striking distance of the south coast,
the west country, south and mid-wales, the midlands and London (just two and a half hours on the motorway.)

We have a weekly cleaner which can continue through your stay and we would be particularly happy to exchange this service as well as the car!
