On the edge of downtown Vancouver, this apartment by the water is at the end of a cul de sac. Our ground floor 890 sq ft suite looks across the water of False Creek Inlet from our 400 sq ft patio, to the heart of the city.(view shown above)
Our building, Pacific Cove, 456 Moberly Road is a 10 floor condominium (apartment). From this quiet location,we walk out our door to a waterside walkway (for cycling,walking and rollerblading) that stretches for miles to beaches and parks in both directions. We have access to all amenities within a 5 to 30 minute walk.
Shopping and medical facilities are a 10 minute walk up the hill. There is a pub, Mahony & Sons waterfront restaurant/pub and Brahna's bistro across the street from the front entrance and numerous inexpensive ethnic restaurants within 10-20 minutes walk.
The Olympic Village centre for the 2010 Winter Olympics is about a 10 minute walk, with new park areas, Tap & Barrel waterfront restaurant, a brew pub,other restaurants and shops.
We have all the usual appliances including a 40" widescreen TV, a TV in each bedroom, and high speed internet with wireless access also, in this very secure building. The patio has a table with umbrella and a BBQ. The plants require some watering in summer.
The main bedroom has a queen size bed and en-suite facilities with large soaking tub and shower. The other bedroom/den has a double size sofa bed and the other full bathroom has a walk in shower.
Vancouver International Airport is a 30 minute drive ($36 by taxi) and the Canada Line (underground rail) Olympic Village stop is a 5 minute walk for a 20 minute ride to or from the airport. Ferries to Vancouver Island and the very pretty Gulf Islands thru Active Pass are about 45 minutes away by bus or car. Whistler ski and summer recreation area is a 90 minute drive. The U.S. border is 40 minutes and Seattle is 2 hrs 30 minutes. Local buses to just about anywhere and the underground rail to downtown and airport are a 5 minute walk. Across the street are small (12 person) ferries to numerous docks along False Creek, some only minutes walks to the centre of downtown Vancouver.
Live theatre, Granville Island Public Market, kayaking, boating, public tennis courts and many parks are only a 20 minutes walk away.
We can offer a car exchange (Kia Rondo) and have 2 bikes for your use. BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION A CAR IS NOT REALLY REQUIRED, except of course for journeys out of town.
We also have townhouse in Maple Ridge, a suberb about an hours drive. As a result, we can offer NON-SIMULTANEOUS exchanges in either unit for year-round flexibility.
The townhouse is in an area of many large parks, lakes and rivers. It's great for people who like the great outdoors, hiking, fishing and boating, A Ford Escape is available for a
car exchange. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 and 1/2 bathrooms. Looks out onto a protected
ecological wetlands west coast forest.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT NORMALLY TRAVEL AWAY FROM VANCOUVER JUNE JULY OR AUGUST. FOR THIS AND OTHER REASONS OUR PLACE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG OR SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN.

About the location
We look out over our own small green park area to downtown Vancouver. A 10 minute small ferry ride and another 10 minute walk takes you to the centre of town. Or just walk across the Cambie Bridge for 20 minutes.
The well known Granville Island with its market and craft shops is a 25 minute easy walk along the seawall; or you can take the small ferry there and to other locations along the False Creek inlet. Kayaking and other small boats are available for rent.
Public free tennis courts are just around the corner.
From our home you can walk or bike for hours around the continuous seawall, around Stanley Park and the English Bay and Kitsalano waterfront, with numerous opportunities to stop for coffee or eats.
