Our cottage is set in the North Pennines, known as the backbone of England, and is only a few miles from the dramatic Hadrian's Wall - some of the best Roman remains in Britain and providing an 84 km walk through stunning scenery, heritage and history.
There is a good range of shops and a railway station(with links to London and other major cities) in the town of Haltwhistle which is 10 minutes away. The historic market town of Hexham is only 20 minutes away and journey time to the cities of Carlisle and Newcastle upon Tyne less than one hour. The Scottish border is only 60 minutes away.
