Our home is a two bedroom detached townhouse (bungalow) with conservatory, one of three similar, set back from the main road by a long driveway.
It is light and spacious with an internal access garage and a nice secluded garden. The village of Havelock North, a suburb of Hastings in Hawkes Bay, has two pubs, a number of restaurants and other good shops. There are good sporting facilities including bowls, swimming and tennis. Te Mata Peak rises 400 metres behind the village with numerous good walks. There are also several vineyards nearby.
Hastings is a 5 minute drive away and Napier, a seaside holiday city and port with a safe beach, is 25 minutes by car. Hawkes Bay on the East Coast of the North Island is 4 hours north of Wellington the capital.
