Four bedroom family home on pretty London street

Lovely family house with four good-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms on a popular and peaceful residential street in London's highly-desirable Stoke Newington, just a short walk from fashionable Dalston.

Set over four floors the house has a double reception room and new spacious modern fitted kitchen with concertina doors leading to a pretty garden. Upstairs there are four double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom. We have recently had our loft done so that bedroom is modern and spacious and has a high-quality new kingsize mattress. The second bedroom has a double bed, the third bedroom is a twin and the fourth bedroom has a single bed. Wood floors and neutral walls give it a calming, modern look.

The house is fitted throughout with modern appliances including large freestanding fridge-freezer, wide-screen TV, DVD player, XBox, washing machine, tumble dryer and broadband internet.

It is ideal for a family with children (we have three boys of our own - so there are plenty of toys, books and DVDs). It's also equally well suited for grown ups sharing. It's perfect if you are attending a wedding at Stoke Newington Town Hall as it's just a five minutes walk away.

About the location

Stoke Newington is often cited as one of London's few remaining "villages" in that it has somehow managed to retain a distinctive atmosphere that is unusual in London these days. Where we live is quiet with friendly neighbours and yet has a diverse array of restaurants and nightlife on our doorstep. Not surprisingly it is an area that is highly sought after and heavily populated by families with young children.

Our house is minutes from fashionable Church Street with its array of independent shops and boutiques. There are loads of good places to eat (New York-style all day deli The Good Egg, Escocesa for Spanish small plates, as well as a delicious Japanese tapas bar called Aun).

There are loads of great places to shop including homewares stores Search and Rescue and Nook and an independent fashion retailer called Hub. Sainsbury's and Whole Foods are also just a couple of minutes' walk away.

We live just a ten-minute walk from Dalston and a short bus ride from Shoreditch. both famed for their eclectic busy nightlife.

King's Cross, Victoria, Waterloo and London Bridge can all be reached by bus and Stoke Newington station takes you to the City in 15 minutes.
