It nestles in the pine/oak forest native to the area with a small garden and vegetable plot.The rural neighbourhood of Underwood is at the base of Underwood Mountain, which has numerous hiking and biking trails. White salmon and Hood River are our nearest towns, both 10 minutes away.They are thriving comunities with small downtowns. Boutique stores specialise in arts, crafts, dining, entertainment, recreation. The scenic and historic Columbia Gorge is renowned for recreation and home to hard core windsurfers, kiteboarders, skiers mountain bikers. Historic for expeditions West and scenic for desert, forest, rivers and mountains.
