Lovely 3 Bed home in Hay on Wye, Wales

Our holiday cottage is quietly situated within the picturesque little market town of Hay on Wye, in the Brecon Beacons National Park on the English / Wales border.

Hay is a famous book town with almost 30 second hand book shops in a population of only 1500. There are a good range of pubs / restaurants and vintage and boutique style shops as well as independent food and other retailers, all clustered around Hay Castle:

As well as literary pursuits, Hay's environs offer valley and hill walking, canoeing and fishing on the river, a good range of golf courses, gardens to visit and lots of other leisure activities. There are many interesting places to visit round about, including the world heritage site of Blaenavon around 30 miles away:

Our house is a modern cottage, ten years old, that we have owned from new. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of town and is adjacent to the footpath down to the Warren area,a large area of common land by the river Wye where people walk and swim in the summer. There is a river side walk into the town centre.

The house has three bedrooms (though we use one as a spare room) and two bathrooms. It is decorated throughout in a light modern contemporary style. Downstairs there is an excellent kitchen, and spacious dining room / lounge as well as a downstairs toilet. Outside to the rear there is a totally enclosed private garden, with patio / bbq and lawn area. There is parking for two cars, adjacent to the house, in an area shared with neighbours.
There is wifi available, but you need your own computer.
The house is let out for holidays as well as for our own frequent use.We keep it in very good order.
