Lovely 3 Bed home in Kenilworth, England

Large detached house in a quiet area of Kenilworth, near Stratford-on-Avon in the Heart of England, ½ mile from town centre, close to Kenilworth Castle and the historic part of the town (see notes below).

There are shops close by, as well as several good pubs and restaurants.

The house has 1 bathroom with bidet and WC, 1 shower room (large shower cubicle) with WC and a downstairs WC. There are 3 double bedrooms, a work and exercise room (with cross-trainer), a study, a dining room, large living room, kitchen with dishwasher and table to seat 4, conservatory, utility room with washing machine and fridge/freezer. The garden is secluded with 2 patio areas. We have cable television, DVD recorder, cinema sound system and broadband internet connection.

It’s possible to walk from the house directly into the surrounding countryside; there are footpaths in every direction. You would need your own transport to venture further afield. A car swap is possible, we have a VW Polo.

The location is ideal for easy access to the Heart of England, with its historical and industrial heritage (see http://www.visitheartofengland.com/ ) Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace is 30 minutes by car, as is Birmingham and its airport. The Cotswolds are 50 minutes away, wonderful walking country. London is 1 hour by train.

Kenilworth itself is famous for its medieval Castle, a romantic ruin occupied by English Kings for 400 years, and visited by the first Queen Elizabeth, recorded in Sir Walter Scott’s novel. Warwick Castle, the most visited castle in England, is 15 minutes away.
