Summer here is gorgeous: enjoy long days; lots of outdoor life (Edmonton's river valley is the largest piece of contiguous urban parkland in North America); nearby golf; summer festivals including excellent folk and fringe festivals in August.
We have a sweet cat, a weekly cleaner, bikes, a new, fully equipped kitchen, a large BBQ, and could talk about the car.... Summer bliss.
