Eco-house new build, with solar power and grid connection. HRV system for fresh air circulation. We have 3 bedrooms; Master with queen bed and ensuite, 2nd bedroom with double bed, and 3rd with single divan and foldaway bed (if needed). The open plan living/dining/kitchen room has a woodburner, but also a heat pump air conditioner. We have a plastic tunnelhouse in the back yard with a small hydroponic system for winter vege growing
Activities include garden visits, tramping/hiking (many bushwalk trails), heritage & cultural experiences. Self-drive through magnificent scenery; enjoy countryside pleasures. Feilding town centre is a 20minute walk,
About the location
Feilding is a thriving rural town. It grew from Edwardian times as a farming centre, and still retains the weekly stock sales and farmer`s market, in the town square on Fridays.along with quality shops, cafes, restaurants & boutique movie theatre. There are no traffic lights or parking meters.
Conveniently located in the Manawatu district: 20 minutes drive to the facilities of the university city of Palmerston North, 2 hours to Wellington, just over 2 hours to Napier/Hawkes Bay & 3 hours to Lake Taupo and Mt Ruapehu skiing.
