We have a 5 bedroom 1892 family home on a canal in the centre of Leiden, Rembrant's birthplace and a University city since the 1500's (twin city Oxford). Will add photos soon. A large character terrace house with a small sunny garden. Sinks in 3 of the bedrooms. Dutch ABC's (Art, Bridges and Canals) in abundance, along with character cafes, bars etc. Cycle to the canal-side market in 5 mins. Trains are fast and frequent from the airport (15 mins, but we are not on a flight path), to Amsterdam (30 mins) or to the Hague (12 mins). Take our bikes along too, a great way to explore Leiden or anywhere else. The Netherlands is set up to be totally bike-friendly - it's flat, green and has thousands of bike paths. Drive or train to Belgium, German etc too (1hr to border).
